Job Description

IBM NZ is looking for a highly motivated, eager to learn and fun individual to join our Workforce Analytics team in a consulting and project support role. The NZ Workforce Analytics team designs and deploys organisational climate and engagement surveys. We have been in the business of improving companies and enriching lives in New Zealand for more than 20 years. We understand the basic principle that our customers hire us to improve their companies. You will be supporting the Workforce Analytics team across a variety of functional areas, including consulting, analytics and project management. You will be responsible for ensuring that client surveys are created to a high standard, following best practice principles. You will have the opportunity to work alongside Senior Project Managers as well as gaining experience in process creation and documentation, Project Management, and the full range of Microsoft Office tools. In addition you will be exposed to the Organizational Psychology team to see the impact our work has on our clients. You will be assisting with the consultants in various consulting related tasks – such as data pulling, report checking, completing thematic comments analysis, quantitative data analysis, preparing and supporting consultants on client workshops.

A. Responsibilities
Survey setup and survey implementation
Ensure the timely delivery of the survey to the client as well as offer operational guidance and monitor the progress of their client’s projects
Multi-task across several concurrent projects to meet tight deadlines
Liaising with Project Managers to assist in project plan development
Meet agreed deadlines and highlights potential issues that may impact on project deliverables
Assist the Project Manager in the accurate and timely completion of all project documentation
Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Assist with report production
Assist with literature review and research
Other duties as assigned to meet client deliverables such as report checking, data preparation, workshop preparation and assistance

B. Requirements
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and acts with integrity
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team oriented, and able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation
Structured report writing and research documentation
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) as well as proficiency in working with the Internet
Must be process oriented
Must have an eye for detail
Strong customer focus and customer service experience preferred
Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities

C. Qualifications and Experience
Currently completing a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Psychology, Business or Statistics preferred)
Proven experience with MS Office (especially Excel and Access)
Statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, R or AMOS (not essential, but preferred)
You have to be currently enrolled at University to qualify for the intern programme
