The part you’ll play

With a range of baggage handling responsibilities, you’ll be one of a team looking after the belongings of millions of people setting off on all kinds of journeys. Whether you’re loading or unloading, manually or mechanically, you’ll be a safe pair of hands that gets their luggage wherever it needs to be, and at the right time. You’ll carry out aircraft and equipment inspections and hazard checks, reporting any faults and taking care of the paperwork needed to get the job done. Following safety, security and airline-specific procedures, you’ll put our customers’ - and their customers’ - needs at the heart of everything you do.

You will raise AHL and DPR reports in the World Tracer System and any other tracing system as require.
You will take telephone enquiries from passengers relating to any mishandled/damaged baggage and lost and found items
You will trace missing bags using the World Tracer System
You will send PXF messages to aid in the tracing process
You will assist/liaise with baggage delivery companies and other airports
You will be required to manually lift all types of baggage
You may from time to time be required to work at other Menzies Aviation Airports
You will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with passengers over the phone and face to face
Computer literacy is essential as it the ability to work without direct supervision
You will have good working knowledge of Airline standards
You will be a very proactive, forward thinking and trustworthy individual

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
