About the role

Responsible for engaging with our guests from arrival to departure, you will provide night-hour services and respond to guest requests and inquiries as the main point of contact in the hotel.

Reporting to the Night Manager, you will assist with night audit operations, support other departments where required and ensure that your team are kept fully aware of any relevant overnight activities or feedback from guests. In the absence of the Night Manager you will be responsible for managing overnight Front Office and hotel operations, whilst ensuring brand service standards are met to the highest quality.

Duties/responsibilities

Welcome guests and complete Check-in and Check-out procedures using the hotel system OnQ
Assist with night audit operations and support other hotel departments where necessary
Review daily revenues and financial reports, and investigate discrepancies
Manage guest requests and inquiries and resolve issues.
Maintain current knowledge of daily VIP, hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers
Maximize sales revenues through up-selling and marketing programs

Skills/experience

Previous hotel reception experience
Strong analytical skills
Fluent in the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests and team members both in person and over the telephone
Computer literate with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict
Experience in cash handling
