Job Description

Auckland District Health Board (DHB) employs over 10,000 highly skilled clinical and non-clinical professionals and has a total annual revenue of approximately $2.1 billion. Since 2009, the organisation has been on a change and improvement journey using a Lean Six Sigma approach underpinned by service co-design methods.
This is an outstanding opportunity within the Performance Improvement team, which is responsible for supporting the organisation’s change agenda that is driving exciting transformational improvements across the DHB.
In this role you will be responsible for project coordination, process change/improvement and other activities arising from assigned projects. You will be supporting the project/programme teams to achieve agreed outcomes, and deliver improved project management disciplines. Scope of this role includes project documentation, communications, supporting the project team and aspects of process design. By necessity this role may be varied in nature with a focus on one or more projects or sub-projects, according to current requirements and priorities. In addition to the standard project coordination tasks, the role will be hands-on at times with the incumbent getting involved in process observation, data collection, best practice research and delivery of sub projects, as required.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will :-

have the ability to work effectively with all levels of management; providing support to project team members
have experience in coordinating/supporting projects or programmes
have the ability to assess data and process information to provide insight and guide improvements
have excellent communication skills and relationship management – to enable effective working with project stakeholders, clinical and service managers and other project teams
be a self-starter who is able to follow tasks through to completion with a constructive, can-do style
have an eagerness to learn and an ability to understand different methodologies to deliver change
