Job Description

Senior Manager Project Delivery - National Road Construction

* Lead delivery of our National Road Construction Projects
* Manage key stakeholder relationships across the industry
* Based in either Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton or Christchurch

In our System Design & Delivery group, we aim to provide, improve and maintain the land transport system to effectively enable transport services.
As Senior Manager Project Delivery you will lead a group of 75 – 85 people with 6 direct reports, providing strategic project delivery leadership and direction across the group's accountabilities.
Key accountabilities for this role include:

* Contributing to the strategic planning of the group's deliverables
* Providing strategic project delivery leadership across our National Projects
* Ensuring detailed project planning and engineering design work is undertaken for budgeting, cash flow forecasting, fund transfers and documentation
* Lead stakeholder management both internally and externally
* Ensuring all project activities are undertaken with timely management, reporting, and on-going compliance with all contractual agreements


Essential skills for this role include:

* Considerable experience in the civil construction industry in a role of comparable scale and breadth and the ability to manage contractor relationships
* Strong knowledge of procurement models and Project Management
* The ability to be open, transparent and pragmatic when considering solutions
* Proven ability to think creatively, be curious and work with others for win win solutions
* Strong leadership skills and the ability and desire to mentor, develop and grow talent
