Job Summary Our New Zealand Highways and Bridges team form part of our Civil Infrastructure business unit, due to internal movement our team is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Auckland team. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills as part of a team with a proven track record in delivering successful projects across Auckland. We have a strong pipeline of projects for you to work on while you assist with active proposals.

Responsibilities:

Design or project management of small projects or discrete work packages
Preparation of concise quality technical reports and engineering drawings
Provide guidance on safety in design to others
Assist in managing project communications, project integration and preparing the costing of proposals.
Client focused and a high level of relationship management skills
Develop and review structural designs, drawings, specifications
Minimum Requirements
Experience in supervising teams including developing/mentoring junior engineers.
Structural design experience in transport infrastructure projects including road and rail bridges, retaining walls and other transport structures is essential.
Structural design experience in cut and cover tunnels, soil-structure interaction, temporary works and construction phase services would be an advantage.
Ability to develop and review structural designs, drawings, specifications.
Proven Experience with International Bridge Standards would be an advantage.
Experience in the dynamic design and seismic design of structures
Strong experience in using software for structural analysis (e.g. Autodesk Structural Bridge Design (SAM), Space Gass, Midas, Microstran, Strand7).
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant tertiary degree
